Hall of Fame
BELLEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME
Belleville High School has established a long-standing tradition of academic and athletic excellence. We have had many graduates who distinguished themselves both in the classroom and in athletic competition.
It is the purpose of the Belleville High School Athletic Hall of Fame to recognize such individuals and teams who have, through their performance, conduct, and achievement, brought credit and honor to themselves and Belleville High School. Their public example will hopefully serve to inspire future graduates to perform and serve in the same spirit.
The Belleville High School Hall of Fame Committee invites annual nominations for candidates for the Belleville High School Athletic Hall of Fame. This award honors individuals and teams whose deeds and character exemplify outstanding achievement in athletics to the school and community. The honoree’s accomplishments spirit are worthy of recognition and have inspired praises and gratitude among his or her peers.
Nominations forms are available in the Athletic Office at Belleville High School or on our athletic website: (https://www.vanburenschools.net/o/belleville-high/page/bhs-athletics-homepage) or at https://bellevilleathletics.net
Deadline for nominations for the 2019 class will be October 1, 2019.
Belleville High School Athletic Hall of Fame
Criteria for Induction
- All nominees must have a completed nomination form submitted on their behalf by October 1st.
Student-Athletes
- Athletes must be at least 30 years old and a graduate (in good standing) of Belleville High School. Only athletic achievements as a Belleville High School Athlete will be considered.
- Must have earned at least two varsity letters in any sport offered at Belleville.
- Must have earned recognition for their athletic accolades. For example, All-State, All-Conference, All-Division honors, etc.
Varsity Coaches/Administrators
- Must have served at Belleville High School for a minimum of 10 years.
- Evidence of outstanding Varsity coaching or administration career.
- Must have had a direct significant impact on high school athletics or activities
- May be selected one year after leaving Belleville High School.
Teams
- Must have won at least one MHSAA championship. For example, won a district, regional, final four appearances, state runner-ups, or state championship.
- Team would be eligible 5 years following championship year.
Nominations will be accepted for a calendar year (October 1 of the current school year. Nominees will be eligible for five years. Committee members are eligible for nomination and induction, but must recuse themselves when voting. Nominees shall be solicited from the public. Nominees must be nominated by someone other than himself or herself. The first class will consist of ten inductees. No more than five inductees will be inducted annually after the initial class of inductees. The Committee will meet in October, annually, to vote. A nominee must have a super majority (5 of 7) in order to be elected to the Hall of Fame.
The induction Ceremony will be at Belleville High School at a Friday night basketball game.

Girls Varsity SoftballThe Tigers secured the victory thanks to five runs in the third inning. The Tigers offense was led by Brooklynn Jones, Patience Frederick, Alyssa Engle, Kendall Volk and Tavia George, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Girls Varsity SoccerRachel Riley scored 3 goals and had an assist, Molly Cote had two goals and one assist, Chloe Abney with 2 goals, Vanessa Slone and Molly Parsons each netted a goal. Other assists came from Makenzie Simpson, Megan Mihaly, Aubrie Adcock, and Claire Davis with one a piece. Olivia McCluskey finished with 2 assists. Our next game is 7pm Tuesday at Lincoln High School.

Tigers shut out the Zebras in doubleheader on Wednesday
Girls Varsity SoftballChloe Solomon threw a no-hitter to lead the Tigers past Wayne Memorial 16-0 in game one. The Tigers scored six runs in the second inning. The big bats in the inning were led by walks by Brooklynn Jones, Shelby Yeoman, and Savanna Barone, a single by Alyssa Engle, and an error on a ball put in play by Solomon. In game two, Veronica Morrison and Kendall Volk worked together and didn't allow a single hit, as the Tigers defeated Wayne Memorial 17-0. Chloe Solomon had a homer in the third inning. Chloe Solomon, Brooklynn Jones, Amber Spicer & Veronica Morrison each collected multiple hits.

Girls Varsity SoftballGame one the Tigers defeated Franklin 3 - 1. Grace Dembny and Veronica Morrison each racked up multiple hits for the Tigers. In game two the Tigers defeated Franklin 12 - 4. The Tigers notched six runs in the second inning. The offensive firepower was led by Chloe Solomon, Brooklynn Jones, and Amber Spicer, all driving in runs in the frame. Brooklynn Jones socked a home run in the second inning.

Girls Varsity SoftballChloe Solomon had all the right stuff on Saturday for the Tigers, allowing zero runs and besting Melvindale by a score of 14-0. Solomon homer twice in the third inning. The Tigers out scored Grosse Ile in game two with a score of 11 - 6. The Tigers notched five runs in the seventh inning. The Tiger's offense in the inning came from ground outs by Kendall Volk and Amber Spicer, a walk by Alyssa Engle, and an error on a ball put in play by Chloe Solomon. Brooklyn Jones led things off in the circle for the Tigers. She surrendered six runs on seven hits over six and a third innings, striking out ten.
