Great Tournament for the Tigers!

Congratulations to the varsity girls bowling team on a great performance in the KLAA tournament on Friday.  After 6 Baker games, the lady Tigers averaged 185. Going into the individual games the Tigers were in second place behind John Glenn.

During the first individual game the lady Tigers were on fire with Brooklyn Keele shooting a 181, Brooke Petty 194, Megan Fowler 159, Katherine Dybicki 249, and Sydney Allison 247, with a series total 1030. The girls ended in first place after the qualifying rounds. Lady Tigers then went against Hartland in the first round of the play-offs but fell short in the 2 out of 3 baker games.

In the 16 team KLAA conference to make All-Conference you had to be in the top 16 teams in average throughout the season. Congrats goes out to Sydney Allison who finished 3rd and Katherine Dybicki finishing 11th. Way To Go Tigers!!!

On Sunday, Dearborn High hosted a Regional and State tune-up tournament at Thunderbowl Lanes. The girls varsity started out strong in the qualifying rounds ending in the 3rd seat for bracket play. Lady Tigers defeated Woodhaven and Farmington.

In Baker games best 2 out of 3. In the finals, the Lady Tigers went up against Westland John Glenn. The first game John Glenn won 182 to 165. The second game Belleville won 199 to 150. The third game the Lady Tigers fell short 178 to 167.

The varsity bowling program also had some individual awards in the tournament. Bradley Folks placed 1st with a 673 high series and 2nd place high game 249.  Sydney Allison placed 3rd with a 578 high series and 1st place high game 269. Great Job Tigers!!!
